i’m not sure why people are so afraid to be seen when all the best things in life happen when you expose yourself more courageously to the world

What this means is that you feel love by loving people, not by getting them to love you. This is the crux of the matter. Love is what you feel when you allow yourself to acknowledge the unity you are in with a person.
Its different from the mere intoxication of “someone likes me”

I was asked for a thread on this so let me try to elaborate.

For those who don't know, Circling is... a practice that's infamously hard to try to describe or define. That's because it's structurally anti-structure and anti-expectation, which is what allows for "being yourself".

Take a close look at what you assume the solution to your life must look like. Are there any of those assumptions that you could turn into variables instead? As in: “Sure, I’ll sign with a label if it helps me spend more time jamming and less time doing things that frustrate me. Otherwise—no.”

To understand the self, it's necessary to deconstruct our experience of subjective identity, and our experience of what it means for an object to be identical with itself. Identity is a representation, not a reality. Some represented objects have identity, others not.

I think everyone needs to experience one romantic relationship, one platonic relationship, and one project that you grind out way past when it’s reasonable to stop. it’s character building
